Scholarships

BEDC Scholarships honours local individuals who given back to the community and strengthen the image of the city.  Each year, recipients are selected from McMaster University, Mohawk College and The Centre for Skills Development & Training. The scholarships are established to financially assist students enrolled in post-secondary studies for the following year. The BEDC scholarship recipients are recognized at the BEDC Signature Event, held in June of each year.

businessFirst Awards

Each year, as part of Burlington Chamber of Commerce's Business Awards, BEDC presents the businessFirst Awards to local companies – one for New Business Investment, one for Business Expansion, and one for Business Export in partnership with Export Development Canada. The awards recipients are recognized at the Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Gala, held in April of each year.
