  • Burlington Hydro’s GridSmartCity programs offer a variety of savings and innovation programs for companies. Burlington Hydro will assist with facility lighting management, process improvements, and solar and co-generation development options. GridSmartCity assists companies to manage and control electricity costs.
  • BEDC’s Next Generation Manufacturing Initiative offers: training for companies looking to develop innovate business cultures, work closer with their customers, and better utilize web 2.0 technologies; peer-to-peer workshops on industry identified issues;  and advice on the planning and construction of flexible manufacturing facilities. 
  • Education and Training plays a vital role in the Burlington economy. Company partnerships with McMaster University, Mohawk College, and The Centre for Skills Development & Training allow for the development of customized training programs and easy access to co-op students and apprenticeship programs.
