2012 Entrepreneur of the Year

BEDC will  induct Mr. Reg Pollard as the 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year on June 7, 2012. Mr. Reg Pollard is the founder and former president of Pollard Windows. Headquartered here in Burlington, Pollard Windows Inc. grew from 2 employees in 1948 to approximately 250.   Today, the Pollard formula for success continues.  The Burlington-based company is recognized as a leader in window manufacturing technology.  Reg officially retired in 1995 however he continues to go in daily to keep abreast of changes in his company and the industry. He is a dedicated volunteer and philanthropist who is committed to helping the City of Burlington and its residents. Join us for an evening celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship.

“I am very honoured to be named the 2012 Burlington Entrepreneur of the year.  I guess we would be considered entrepreneurs in the truest sense as we started with $250 and have grown Pollard Windows to the size it is today.  I believe we were wise to make Burlington our home base when we immigrated here in 1947.  The town has grown from a mere 4700 people back then to a city with over 173,000 people today, and we have grown right along with them.  We feel very fortunate that the community gave us a chance when we were starting out and has continued to support us.  Thank you Burlington!”said Pollard
